Terms of Service
Last updated: May 20, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Choir, a workspace messenger operated by Digital Systems ("we", "us"). By signing up or using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Beta service
Choir is currently in open beta. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. We may impose usage limits, throttle requests, or pause workspaces to maintain platform stability. We aim for high availability but make no uptime guarantee during beta.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your password (or third-party sign-in) secure and for everything done under your account. Notify us immediately at info@choirworkspace.com if you suspect unauthorised access. One person, one account — sharing accounts violates these Terms.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload, send, or store content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or that violates anyone's privacy.
- Use Choir to harass, threaten, or harm others.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, abuse the AI features, or use the service to attack other systems.
- Scrape, mirror, or systematically extract another user's or workspace's content.
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to discover the source code of proprietary parts of the service.
- Connect a CAP partner you don't own or aren't authorised to represent.
Violating any of the above may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
4. AI outputs
Voices generate responses using large language models. Outputs may be inaccurate, biased, or contextually wrong. You're responsible for verifying anything you act on. Do not rely on a Voice for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical advice. Voices may call tools you've granted them; you're responsible for the consequences of those tool calls.
5. Your content
You own the content you create in Choir. By using the service you grant us a limited licence to host, transmit, and process that content as needed to operate Choir for you (including sending it to the AI subprocessors listed in the Privacy Policy when a Voice needs it). We don't claim ownership and we don't train any model on your content.
6. Partner integrations (CAP)
Choir supports connecting third-party systems via CAP. Partner systems are independently operated and may have their own terms and privacy policies. We're not responsible for a partner's behaviour, availability, or security beyond verifying the cryptographic envelope on each message. Workspace admins decide which approved partners can connect and which tools they can call.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, for prolonged inactivity, or when required by law. You can delete your account at any time by emailing info@choirworkspace.com; the personal data we hold will be deleted per the retention rules in the Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimer
During beta the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI outputs will be accurate.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Digital Systems will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the beta service. Our total liability for any direct damages is capped at USD $100 while the service is in beta and free of charge.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Lusaka, Zambia, unless local mandatory consumer protection law gives you a stronger right to a different forum.
11. Changes
When we change these Terms materially, we'll notify active users by email and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.
